Promoting your personal wellness and academic success

At UNE COM we recognize that you are as unique as fingerprints, or, in medical terms, those cutaneous ridges on the bulbs of the distal phalanx of our fingers. The osteopathic principles teach us that everything is interconnected, and, in the same vein, we acknowledge that you need continuous support to grow academically, professionally, and personally. By adhering to these principles, we promote your personal wellness and academic success as you pursue your osteopathic medical degree and your passion for practicing medicine.

Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)

Some may say sickness is just a part of life, but I viewed it as a result of injustice. This viewpoint drew me to the field of healthcare to help address impediments to good health. My desire to see patients overcome their weaknesses led me to medicine, which I realized would be the ideal path towards improving people’s quality of life.

As an international student from Canada, I found ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ COM very accommodating and welcoming. I found many peers who shared the same passions I did. I constantly stay in touch with my family and visit them during short breaks. Apart from a great educational experience, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s curriculum challenges me to think critically about social and ethical issues relevant to medicine. Every week, we have practicing physicians and patients from the community share their experiences with the healthcare system and challenge us to be better physicians. All in all, I’m very glad to have chosen ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ for my medical education.
