Amanda Langley grew up in Falmouth, ME and graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. After graduating, she worked for seven years as a Care Manager with the Connecticut Homecare Program for Elders. In 2013, she returned home to Maine, and in 2014, she began working with Graduate Admissions at the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ. She joined the College of Dental Medicine in 2016 as Community Outreach Coordinator and earned her Master of Public Health degree in December 2016. She then became Community-Based Education Manager and served in that role until 2021. In fall of 2021, she began her current role as Director of MaineShare. She has been teaching in the College of Arts and Sciences as an Adjunct Professor since 2019.
While completing her Master's program, Amanda participated in an interprofessional health service trip to Ghana, providing free medical care to patients for two weeks. She also completed an interprofessional project on rural healthcare for the elderly. She has volunteered as a bereavement facilitator at The Center for Grieving Children. She is a member of Delta Omega, a public health honor society, and Maine Public Health Association, where she serves as a co-lead for a member section on health equity.
