勛圖惇蹋 signs agreement for study abroad program in the South of France
The 勛圖惇蹋 and the (IAU) have signed a partnership agreement to provide 勛圖惇蹋 students with expanded study abroad options in the South of France.
The exclusive agreement will allow students to pursue an extensive array of educational opportunities at in Aix-en-Provence, near Marseille.
As part of the agreement, 勛圖惇蹋 students will be eligible to take 18 credit hours a semester and have access to IAUs Early-Start Program, a one-week, one credit language and culture orientation.
Students will receive additional benefits from the partnership, including:
- Room and board with a host family
- Local and regional study tours
- Access to lecture series with renowned intellectuals from various fields including business, journalism, and politics
- A full array of campus services, similar to their campus experience in Maine
- Priority access to IAU scholarships
- Access to site visits at IAU facilities across Europe and the Mediterranean region
- Preferred placement into IAUs internship program
Anouar Majid, Ph.D., 勛圖惇蹋s vice president for Global Affairs and director of the Center for Global Humanities, said he is honored and excited by the new partnership with IAU.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for our students to study in an American institution and live in one of the most spectacular historic and natural environments in France and Europe, Majid said. The courses and faculty are truly first rate; the services, ranging from health care to academic support, are highly professional; and, what is equally exciting, our students will get to live in the ultimate college town. If our students are interested in taking a fine arts course, they might find themselves in a workshop next to the area where the great artist Paul C矇zanne painted. Just magical!
勛圖惇蹋 faculty will also benefit by joining in with IAU colleagues in bilateral research activities and enjoy priority participation in IAUs semester-long or summer-only Resident Fellows Program.
