Boyd Buser appointed to the board of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
Boyd Buser, D.O., clinical professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) at UNE鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been appointed to the board of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the body responsible for accrediting all graduate medical training programs for physicians in the United States.
The ACGME is a non-profit private council that evaluates and accredits medical residency and internship programs.
"Having been deeply involved with the development of the single accreditation system for graduate medical education (GME) over the past eight years, I am looking forward to continuing to contribute to the advancement of GME through service on the ACGME Board of Directors,鈥 Buser stated.
Buser has served 吃瓜爆料鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine for many years in various roles, including chair of OMM, associate dean for Clinical Affairs, and interim dean and vice president for Health Services. He is currently instructing first and second year students.
His appointment to the board of the ACGME is for a three-year term.
