Marilyn Gugliucci named to Gerontological Society of America board
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor and director of Geriatrics Education and Research in ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, was recently elected to serve on the board of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA).
The GSA is a multidisciplinary organization devoted to research and education in all aspects of gerontology, including medical, biological, psychological and social. It is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to aging research, education and practice.
This marks the first time the GSA has elected a board of directors.
Gugliucci was part of a group that reviewed the GSA governance system and recommended a new structure. She was voted in to serve a one-year term as an at-large member of the board.
The GSA has more than 5,000 members, including many international members and partners.
