The Art Gallery on ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s Portland Campus is pleased to present the 2018 Department of Arts Faculty Show. From the metaphorical and conceptual to the literal and formal, this exhibition showcases artworks that challenge assumptions and perceptions across a variety of media, including collage, ceramics, painting and photography as well as found-object and 3D printed sculpture. Represented are fresh and ongoing artistic inquiries, holistic bodies of work and idiosyncratic processes, with themes ranging from the intimately personal to the boldly universal and the often overlapping boundaries between the two.

Faculty members represented in the show include Stephen Burt, Charles Thompson, Sarah Gorham, Holly Haywood, Oran Suta, Nathan Stevens, Reesa Wood, Lisa Pixley, Andy Rosen, Joe Della Valle and Tim Greenway.

The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Department of Creative and Fine Arts, located on the Biddeford Campus, offers a wide array of courses in visual and performing arts. By emphasizing the acquisition of skills and knowledge through experiential learning in both traditional studio arts and digital media, the department encourages creative and cross-disciplinary solutions to real world problems.

The 2018 Department of Arts Faculty Show will be on display in the Art Gallery on the Portland Campus from August 9 to October 21. The gallery is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. and on Thursday from 12 to 7 p.m. For additional information, please contact Amanda Skinner by email or at (207) 221-4449.
