³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ faculty and students well represented in occupational therapy textbook
The third edition of Occupational Therapy Essentials for Clinical Competence, co-authored by Nancy McRae, M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ associate professor, was recently released, with chapters authored and contributed to by faculty and alumni from ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s Health, Wellness, and Occupational Studies Department (HWOS) and Department of Occupational Therapy.
In response to national accreditation standards for occupational therapy education, the third edition continues to have a unique focus with each of the accreditation standards reflected in an appropriate chapter. Each chapter also has an evidence-based research chart and a student self-assessment section.
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ OT Faculty, Students, and Alumni were featured throughout the book as well, contributing on the topics of occupation centered clinical practice, communication and therapeutic use of self, assistive technology, leadership, practice in natural contexts and understanding and promoting occupational therapy.
