The 勛圖惇蹋 recently completed a highly successful comprehensive review by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the regional accrediting agency for all colleges and universities in New England. NEASC is responsible to the U.S. Department of Education for confirmation and documentation of the performance of colleges and universities and conducts an evaluation of each institution for quality assurance purposes every ten years.

Ellen Beaulieu, vice president for Strategic Initiatives and Communications, works closely with the NEASC Commission and staff, as do many of the 勛圖惇蹋 faculty, professional staff and administration.  勛圖惇蹋 individuals and teams serve in evaluating peer institutions, guiding policy adoption and participating in the NEASC annual session and various workshops each year.

This week, Beaulieu and Margaret Moremen, director of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, traveled to Southbridge, Massachusetts, at the invitation of NEASC to give educational presentations to administrators of universities preparing for comprehensive accreditation visits. The topics of the talks included Actions and Plans to Consider for a Successful Institutional Evaluation and The Importance of Using Valid Data as Evidence. Interim Provost Mike Sheldon and Research Strategist Holly Parker collaborated with Beaulieu and Moremen on the presentation topics, themes and content.
