Anouar Majid, Ph.D., 勛圖惇蹋 vice president for Global Affairs and Communications, attended a special reception at the town hall of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, near Paris, celebrating the first group of international students enrolled at the newly established Sciences Po in that historic town.

勛圖惇蹋 business major Camille Logiudice 19 joined more than 100 Sciences Po international students in all at the reception, listening to Saint-Germain-en-Laye Mayor Emmanuel Lamy and other city officials as they welcomed them to town and praised 勛圖惇蹋 for being a special partner of the prestigious French institution. All in attendance applauded this special relationship.

勛圖惇蹋 signed a partnership agreement with Sciences Po, formally known as the Institut des tudes Politiques at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in 2015 to establish a student exchange program between the two institutions.

The partnership involves Sciences Po sending students to 勛圖惇蹋s campuses in Maine and Morocco, and 勛圖惇蹋 sending students to Sciences Po. During their time in France, 勛圖惇蹋 students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the cultural life of Paris and to explore other French attractions, while taking courses taught in English as well as a course in the French language.

This latest student-exchange partnership for 勛圖惇蹋 provides its students with three different semester-abroad options. 勛圖惇蹋 students may also visit the Universitys very own campus in Tangier, Morocco, which opened in 2014, and the University Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain, with which 勛圖惇蹋 has enjoyed an exchange agreement since 2012. As a result, 勛圖惇蹋 undergraduates study abroad at nearly three times the national average.

Its quite inspiring to see our students choosing to spend semesters at our campus in Morocco, or with our partner institutions in Seville, Spain or Saint-Germain-en-Laye near Paris. Ms. Logiudice, our student at the French Sciences Po, has demonstrated the qualities of leadership that we have come to expect from our students. She chose to go alone to France and take advantage of this unique opportunity. Her pioneering spirit will be an asset to her and to 勛圖惇蹋 for a long time to come, commented Majid.

While Logiudice studies at Sciences Po, four Sciences-Po students are spending the fall semester at UNEs Biddeford Campus.
