³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's study abroad programs featured in Mexico Newspaper
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s study-abroad programs were featured in Mexico City’s English language newspaper The News.
The article, written by Anthropologist Charlie Goff, highlighted ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ for the unique opportunity it provides science students to experience life abroad while still keeping up with their laboratory course responsibilities.
In addition to describing student opportunities to study in Seville, Spain, Goff also commended the Tangier, Morocco campus. Home to state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms and housing, Goff credits the campus for aiding the development of important cultural relationships.
In particular, Goff featured Anouar Majid, Ph.D., vice president for Global Affairs and director of the Center for GLobal Humanities, who helped bring the Tangier campus to life. He described Majid’s efforts to bridge cultural gaps through his written works, his prestigious lecture series held on ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s Portland campus, and now with the new Tangier Forum lectures, of which Goff was the inaugural speaker.
