College of Pharmacy students, faculty and alumni recognized by Maine Pharmacists Association for achievement
Kenneth McCall, B.S.Pharm, Pharm.D., associate professor in ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's College of Pharmacy, was recently awarded the 2015 Bowl of Hygeia Award from the Maine Pharmacy Association (MPA) at the MPA Annual Meeting Awards Banquet on September 12, 2015.
The Bowl of Hygeia , considered one of the profession's most prestigious awards, recognizes pharmacists who demonstrate outstanding community service and civic leadership in their state.
McCall has been actively involved in legislative affairs, championing the pharmacy practice at the state and federal levels. He has served as a volunteer pharmacist with the Biddeford Free Clinic, and as a volunteer pharmacist immunizer with the Maine Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and the Amarillo Texas Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.
The Bowl of Hygeia is sponsored by the American Pharmacists Association Foundation, the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations and the American Pharmacists Association with support from Boehringer Ingelheim.
