勛圖惇蹋 partners with The Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter for the Volunteer Scribes Project

The Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter is partnering with the 勛圖惇蹋, the University of Southern Maine, and Bates College to identify student volunteers to work with individuals living with Alzheimers disease or related dementias, and their care partners on a writing project.

The student volunteers will act as scribes for the participants and their care partners, interviewing them and writing their life stories within the Alzheimers Associations Legacy Writers Groups. This effort is being called the Volunteer Scribes Project.

Student and faculty responses from each participating school has been very enthusiastic, said Mark Pechenik, Project Director for the Volunteer Scribes Project. We are so pleased and grateful that these students will be joining us as volunteer scribes.

In particular, Pechenik thanked 勛圖惇蹋 faculty members Marilyn Gugliucci, Kelley Strout, Donna Hyde and Regi Robnett.
