Alexandra Malinowski promoted to Medical Science Liaison at Synageva BioPharma
Alexandra Malinowski, Pharm.D., College of Pharmacy class of 2014, was recently promoted to Medical Science Liaison at Synageva BioPharma.
Malinowski was the inaugural fellow in the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ-Synageva Medical Affairs post-doctoral program. In her new role on the Medical Affairs team, Malinowski will be responsible for interacting with thought leaders and other healthcare providers to advance Synageva's medical and scientific programs.
One of her primary responsibilities will be to raise awareness about Lysosomal Acid Lipase (LAL) Deficiency, and other pipeline programs, with key specialists so that the disease is included in the differential diagnosis of patients with signs and symptoms that are considered highly suspicious for the disorder.
Malinowski will continue to serve as co-director of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's spring elective course, "Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry and Biotechnology," and as co-preceptor of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students at Synageva.
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and Synageva remain committed to advancing the fellowship program and are currently discussing next steps for recruitment.
