PayScale ranks ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ second in nation for alumni reporting high job-meaning
PayScale, a national firm providing data and insights about salary and careers, has cited ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ as second in the nation for alumni reporting high job-meaning.
Its annual College Salary Report of 1511 colleges and universities included the percentage of alumni reporting high job meaning both by school and by major. Many of the majors are related to healthcare, education and social work.
PayScale Editorial Director Lydia Frank wrote in a on October 8, 2013, “A college education isn't just about the money—how much it costs and what you can earn post-graduation—because the value of education can't be measured in dollars and cents.â€
She went on to state, “Schools with large healthcare and education programs also are represented well when looking at the percentage of alumni reporting high job meaning post-graduation. The top three schools for high job meaning were Thomas Jefferson University (84 percent), ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ (82 percent) and Trident University International (81 percent).â€
PayScale ranked ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ 407 out of 1511 colleges and universities overall for return on investment in its annual College Salary Report. Its midcareer salary rank for private schools placed ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ near the top third, at 216 of 606.

The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is ranked one of the "Best Universities" in the North that offer "a full range of undergraduate and master's programs" in the 2014 edition of "America's Best Colleges," U.S. News & World Report announced today. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ rose seven spots in the top tier of this category.
Forbes named ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ to its 2013 list of America's Top Colleges, a list based on "output" and "return on investment." Forbesranked ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ number 319 of the 650 colleges and universities that made the list. There are about 4,500 degree-granting institutions of higher learning in the U.S.
Affordable Colleges Online, a website reporting on higher education affordability, recently ranked ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ second in student return on investment among 43 public and private colleges and universities in Maine.
