³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ community open house and public ice skating at the new Harold Alfond Forum Oct. 28th

The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ celebrates the grand opening of the Harold Alfond Forum, Sunday Oct. 28, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's Biddeford Campus.

The celebration, which is free and open to the public, includes refreshments, tours, music and skating on the newest ice rink in southern Maine.

Gather family and friends - and bring your skates - and head to the Harold Alfond Forum at 630 Pool Road, Route 9, in Biddeford.  A limited number of adult skates will be available for rental.

With a lead gift of $7 million announced in 2010, the Harold Alfond Foundation made it possible for the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ to build the Harold Alfond Forum with an NHL-sized hockey rink and courts for basketball and volleyball.

In addition, the Harold Alfond Forum has classrooms for Athletic Training and Applied Exercise Science programs, strength and conditioning facilities, a cyber café for dining and student study space, conference rooms and offices for ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's Athletics Programs.
