Office of Patient and Population Oriented Research announces Pilot Project Awards to ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ researchers

The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Office of Patient and Population Oriented Research announced on April 19, 2012 Pilot Project Award grants  supporting patient and population-oriented research projects led by the following ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ investigators and investigator teams:

(1) Nananda Col,M.D., M.P.H., professor, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and James Quinlan, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences: Decision Support Transformed: Integrating Patient Preferences with Clinical Evidence.

(2) Edward Li, Pharm.D., associate professor, College of Pharmacy, and Devon Sherwood, Pharm.D., assistant professor, College of Pharmacy: Assessment of the Data Quality of the Maine All-Payer Claims Database for Conducting Cancer Pharmacoepidemiological Studies.

(3) Erin Hartigan, Ph.D. assistant professor, Physical Therapy Program, and Michael Lawrence, MS, Physical Therapy and Applied Exercise Science programs: Does a challenging walking task increase limb symmetry in patients after ACL reconstruction?;

(4) Andrew Binks, Ph.D, associate professor, College of Osteopathic Medicine: Assessment of Air Hunger during Mechanical Ventilation.
