, WLBZ 2, , , the , the Kennebec Journal and the ran stories about the first day of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's pilot commuter ferry that began carrying passengers on April 9th between Camp Ellis in Saco and ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ in Biddeford. The three-week trial will end April 29th.
Alethea Cariddi, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ sustainability coordinator, was quoted in all the stories. She explained the pilot project is aimed at shortening the commute and carbon footprint for some students, faculty and staff and that it might relieve the need for extra parking during peak weeks of the school year.
