The five-year award will be used to establish the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) for the Study of Pain and Sensory Function. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s COBRE aims to significantly contribute to the scientific understanding of the neurobiology of chronic pain and sensory function, facilitating the discovery and development of new therapies.

Associate Professor of Physiology Ian Meng, Ph.D. serves as the principal investigator, and Professor Edward Bilsky, Ph.D., associate provost for research and scholarship, is a co-investigator. More on the grant.
