³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ History Department becomes newest member of Phi Alpha Theta national history honor society

On Tuesday, February 15, the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Department of History became newest member of Phi Alpha Theta, a national history honor society. Dr. Debra Mulligan, associate professor of History from Roger Williams College, represented Phi Alpha Theta and delivered the official charter granting ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's chapter, Alpha Nu Phi. Dr. Mulligan then initiated eight students into Phi Alpha Theta. Inductees included: Betsy DeBrakeleer, Alexandra Armstrong, Jennifer Christman, Aaron Mitchell, Joseph Niman, Jonathan Planer, Joshua Saucier, and Elisabeth Ziemba. Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society with 870 chapters across the United States. To be eligible, students must have earned at least a 3.0 gpa overall and a 3.1 gpa in History, have taken at least 12 credits in history, and be nominated by History faculty.
