DPT students promote disease prevention and health at Employee Benefits Expo

Third-year doctor of physical therapy students (left to right) Deidra Pelletier, Brian Mcneaney, Cortney Krechkin, Robert Cochrane, and Scott Strawser participated in the annual ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Employee Benefits Exposition held November 3, 2011 on the Portland Campus. 

For the second year, students completing a course on health promotion and disease prevention partnered with ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's Wellness Committee to provide a valuable service to the University community, and also obtain a real world educational experience. This year's health promotion efforts focused on: prevention of office work station injuries; safe lifting techniques; and smoking cessation.
