Marilyn Gugliucci named new President of the Maine Gerontological Society

Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D. has been voted in as the president of the Maine Gerontological Society. Her presidency began on June 11, 2010 and will continue for two years.

Dr. Gugliucci recently completed a two-year national presidency for the Association for Gerontology/Geriatrics in Higher Education, stepping down in March, 2010 into the immediate past-president's role for one year. Dr. Gugliucci will be serving on the Maine Gerontological Society Executive Board with General Nelson Durgin, Vice President, Mary Toppi-Beane, MSW, Secretary, and Amy Cotton, NP, Treasurer.

The Maine Gerontological Society, of which ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is an institutional member, has the goal to further the study, research, teaching and application of the principles of gerontology and geriatrics in Maine and regionally.
