Jennifer Stiegler awarded the 2010 Jason Albrecht Outstanding Young Scientist Award
Dr. Jennifer Stiegler, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ's new assistant professor of psychology, was just awarded the 2010 Jason Albrecht Outstanding Young Scientist Award. This honor is given by the Society for Text and Discouse and recognizes an outstanding paper based on a doctoral dissertation.
The Society for Text & Discourse is an international society of researchers who investigate all aspects of discourse processing and text analysis. The purpose of the Society is to consolidate research in discourse processing and to enhance communication among researchers in different disciplines. A second objective of the society is to contribute to the education and professional development of those in the field or entering the field. To this end, the society recognizes outstanding student papers with two annual awards.
Dr. Stiegler received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of New Hampshire and is joining ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ in the Psychology Department this fall.
